Between Mike Nifong and the prosecutor in the case described in the link above, one has to wonder what goes through the heads of those elected to be in charge of our states' justice systems.

At this point, it seems to me that the villains in the case are the prosecutor and the legislature. I hope, if this story is as it seems, that the people in power in Georgia fix this travesty of justice.

If any of my readers live in Georgia, I urge you to contact the Governor's office to ask for a pardon for this promising young man who is a victim of a stupid quirk in Georgia's laws mixed with an assinine prosecutor who cared far more for his record than about ruining a life unjustly.
