Thanks a lot, John McCain

Of the many reasons to dislike John McCain, far and away the leading reason is his blatantly unconstitutional attack on free political speech, which is precisely what the First Amendment was intended to protect. Of the many reasons to dislike George Bush, one of the top reasons was his signing the McCain-Feingold Incumbent Protection Act despite his explicit acknowledgement that it was unconstitutional. There have been many horrible (unintended?) consequences of McCain-Feingold, including liberals attacking talk radio show hosts in Seattle as making campaign contributions by talking about candidates. Now we have another political horrorshow, one which would make our Founders sick to their stomachs: A BUMPER-STICKER MENACE? by Ryan Sager, NY Post 1/3/07
