Tom Tancredo: The case for impeachment

Former Congressman (and perhaps future Governor?) Tom Tancredo has an Op-Ed in the Washington Times today backing up his statement, made famous at the Ken Buck event a couple of weeks ago, that Barack Obama is the biggest threat facing this nation, and arguing that at least one part of Obama's behavior is impeachable.

It will be interesting to see if any of this filters into the CO governor's race...

I'm shaking my head over this one, but I guess it rather fits with Tancredo's call to threaten bombing Mecca & Medina to combat jihadism. After having served in Congress, and so knowing how much time it would take to implement the impeachment process (i.e., it would very likely take close to the amount of time Obama has left in his term), he's still calling for impeachment? REALLY??? And even if the vote occurred next week, the Democrats have a veto-proof majority that would almost certainly prevent the President's removal from office. All these factors add up to what most of us conservatives routinely decry when the Democrats employ the tactic: making a flashy move to make oneself look and/or feel good, with little to no regard for the actual consequences of said action. In this case, at best Congress would merely waste its time and taxpayers' money. At worst they would put Joe Biden in the Oval Office. How's that for an unintended consequence?

Give me Biden. All though he is a useful idiot, his comments aren't nearly as bad as the policies that Obama has pushed. That my friends, is a sad statement with regard to Obama. Hope-less.
